The turquoise and merigold colors (instead of navy and dark gold) are representing the sky at noon, the brightest hour, the perpetual peak of a type. The design is made of a twelve spokes indo-european chariot wheel inside a twelve spikes sun. Apollo's has the symbol of the chariot of the sun, and the chariot is the early technological means of Indo-European dominance. 12 spokes & spikes because it is a sacred number in indo-european religions, for instance it's the number of Olympian gods. Eight of them are wavy rays to make it clear it is our sun because other stars are commonly symbolized with straight rays. And four of them are straight rays in the common "four directions", in order to symbolize a propencity to expand in every direction and dominate all aspects of life. The central piece is the bust of the iconic Leochares' Pythian Apollo, better known as Apollo Belvedere from 320 B.C.
